Carol Ann Triplett Marin, age 65 and long-time resident of Saucier, passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Tuesday, July 10, 2018.
She was born October 1, 1952, in Fort Meade, Maryland, to her loving parents, Arthur (Sonny) and Shirley Clark Triplett, who preceded her in death. As a child, she grew up in the Odenton, Maryland area until her military family relocated to South Mississippi.
Mrs. Marin was the first born of seven closely-knit children. She was loved deeply by each of her brothers and sisters; Arthur "Butch" (Renee) Triplett, Avis Triplett (Wesley) Bond, Harold "Flubsy" (Jane) Triplett , Doris Triplett (Mike) Cuevas , Ricky Martin (Derinda) Triplett, and Grace Triplett (Randy) Jones.
Mrs. Marin was married to the love of her life, Francis "Rudy" Marin, for nearly 48 years. As a longtime resident of Saucier, she mothered many children but proudly bore four of her own; William Dellan "Willie" (Leslie) Marin, Francis Rudolph Marin, Jr. "Little Rudy", Shawna Marin (Wayne) Ehret , and Shay Nicholas (Kasey) Marin .
Mrs. Marin, lovingly called "Nana", treasured her seven beautiful granddaughters, Brandy Grant, Melesa Marin, Reagan Bond, Madison Bond-Ragan, Kristin Marin, Lindsey Philyaw, and Raelynn Marin; and twelve rambunctious great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Marin was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary at Post 2539 in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was an avid weekly participant at several local BINGO halls. Mrs. Marin loved to listen to live bands, dance, and lived life to the fullest. She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger and could always be counted on to help others in need.
In lieu of flowers, any donations to the Marin Family would be well-received and greatly appreciated.
The visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, with a service at 6pm in the funeral home chapel.
