Carlos Ashley Faul Sr., 77, went home to his Lord and Savior on Friday November 24th, 2017, while surrounded by his loved ones, near and far, in Gulfport.
Carlos was born and reared in Gulfport. He started a family, rearing his three beloved sons, with his wife of 51 years Zenobia Faul. In his professional career Carlos dedicated his life to helping others. He worked as a Sheriff's Deputy with Harrison County and was the last Fire Chief for Mississippi City Fire service. He finished out his career, retiring after 35 years of service, as Deputy Director of Civil Defense.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ursley Faul; his mother, Virginia Faul; his brother, Michael Faul, and his first wife Zenobia Faul.
February of 2017, Carlos married his best friend, Rebecca Charlene Muffler. Rebecca was instrumental in providing amazing care to Carlos during his final months.
He is survived by brothers, Ramon Faul (Carol) and Richard Faul (Rhonda); sister, Janice Japps; 3 sons, Carlos Faul Jr. (Nancy), Floyd Faul, and David Faul (Beth); 3 step children, Caleb Muffler, Thomas Muffler Jr. (Elizabeth), and Jessica Engle; 7 grandchildren, Ashley, Mary, Lexi, Gregory, Claire, Bryan, Maggie; and 3 step grandchildren, Terra Engle, Dante Engle and Olivia Muffler.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, in Gulfport Mississippi with a visitation for family and friends from 9:00 AM until the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery on 28th street in Gulfport. Following graveside services, everyone is invited to rejoin the family back at Riemann Family Funeral Home for a light meal in celebration of Carlos' life.
