Carl J. Smith, age 63, of White Cypress community, passed away on March 12, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L.B. and Loni Mae Smith, his brother, Clark Smith, and a brother-in-law, Dwight Braxton.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Evelyn Smith, his children, Drew (Ann) Smith, Cassie (Shane) Rutledge, and Coleton Swilley, his grandchildren, Leslie Rutledge, Megan Smith, and Ben Rutledge, a great-grandchild, Michael Beeman, 1 sister, Roxie (David) Stanfield, his mother-in-law, Bobbie Bowman, 2 brothers-in-law, Sam (Marie) Ladner, Granval (Jerine) Ladner, a sister-in-law, Kay Braxton, and close friends, Nancy and Doyle Smith.
Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2013, from 10 - 11 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, White Cypress. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church.
Interment will be in Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
