Candy Battenhausen

Candace “Candy” Jane Battenhausen, age 76, passed away on December 30, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Born in Panama City, Florida, Candy later made her home in manyplaces including Linden, New Jersey, where she graduated from Linden High School.

Candy was preceded in death by her parents, Grier Weakland, Sr and Maxine Diehl Weakland; her husband, Richard Battenhausen, Sr.; and numerous siblings and other family members.

She is survived by her two sons, Daniel Battenhausen (Angel Young) and Andrew Battenhausen; and her cherished granddaughter, Desiree Tapper (Gerald).

No services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
