Calvin H. Jefferies passed away at the Biloxi VA on December 15, 2012. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, one of seven children to Marie and John Benjamin Jefferies. Cal was in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked for Simonds Abrasive Company traveling throughout North and South America until he moved to Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida in 1965 where he became a real estate broker. He enjoyed jumping horses in his youth and loved sailing with friends in Coconut Grove.
Cal was preceded in death by his wife, Grace; his two sisters, Naomi and Ruth; his three brothers, Edward, Earl and Gordon.
He is survived by a brother, Harold of Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews, in particular, Susan Grace Senderling of Milford, New Jersey.
Special mention goes to Helen Merritt Taylor of Diamondhead for the twelve years as caregiver and friend and to Carol Martinez for Cal's care the past four years.
The Taylor family including Deborah and Raymond, Ashley and Travis wish to extend their gratitude to the members of the VA Hospital and Hospice Unit.
Burial will take place at Upper Tinicum Cemetery, Upper Black Eddy, PA.
