Byron Hoda

Byron J. “Buddy” Hoda, age 58, of Kiln, passed away on April 27, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Hoda; and a son, Joseph Jackson “J.J.” Hoda.

He is survived by his children, Jessica Hoda Biando (Allen Roberts) and Brandon Hoda; his father, Charles “Charlie” Hoda; his siblings, Bridgette Ladner, Desmond Hoda, Rhonda Dedeaux, Casey Hoda, and Tasha Lee; his grandchildren, Tyler Hoda, Kaitlyn Biando, Jade Nance, Kyle Roberts, Devin Roberts, and Joel Roberts, Brendan Hoda, and Alexia Hoda; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was a lifelong resident of the Kiln and he enjoyed carpentry, dancing, and gardening. He was employed at Stuff Shirt Garment Factory and DuPont Chemical Plant. He was a loving father, son, and “Papa Buddy” to his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at the family residence. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
