Burdic "BJ" Rester

Burdic ""BJ"" Rester, Jr., age 69 was born April 11, 1943. A lifelong resident of Standard Dedeaux Community, he was called home to his Lord and Savior on March 9, 2013.
Mr. Rester was preceded in death by his parents, Burdic Rester and Emma Perkins Rester; twin granddaughters, Brittney and Ashley Green; grandson, Glendale Byron Rester; six sisters; and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen Peterson-Rester; four children, Glen (Crystal), Joe (Gracie), Jody Rester all of Pass Christian, and Sandra (Don) Green of Ellenton, FL; 16 grandchildren, Beth (Paul) Houston, Alicia Rester, Courtney Rester, Kenneth Rester, Kristel Alley, Amber Mclean, Payton Rester, Kaytlyn Rester, Brooklyn Rester, Brennan Rester, Brelynn Spurlock, all of Pass Christian, Katie McGhee of Orlando, FL, Nicole (Stephen) Gillis, Chris Green, and Michael Green all of Ellenton, FL; a sister, Vercie Mae Cuevas of Kiln, MS; and 10 great grandchildren.
Mr. Rester was a Dairyman for 39 years.
The wake for Mr. Rester will begin at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 11, 2013 and conclude Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 5:00 pm, when the service begins. The wake and funeral service will be held at Wolf Creek Baptist Church, Wolf Creek Road, Hancock County, MS. Burial will follow the service on Tuesday in the church cemetery.
