Bryce Kevin James, a cherished member of the community, passed away on May 16, 2025, in Pass Christian, Mississippi, at the age of 69. He was born on February 1, 1956, in Pearl, Mississippi, and proudly graduated from Pearl High School in 1974. A long-time resident of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Bryce's contributions to his family and profession left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Bryce had a fulfilling career as a truck driver for Werner Enterprises and Matlock Trucking. His work ethic and dedication to his job were evident in his commitment to serving his clients with exceptional care. Beyond his professional life, Bryce was a man of many interests and passions. He enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing, and camping with his beloved wife, Judy. Bryce was also an avid supporter of Mississippi State football and the New Orleans Saints, with his excitement for the games often shared with family and friends.
Bryce was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 43 years, Judy Elizabeth Williams James, whose companionship brought immense joy to his life. He is also preceded by his parents, Billy C. and Margaret James; his brother, Billy C. James Jr.; and his sister-in-law, Betty Cheryl James.
Despite his profound loss, Bryce is survived by a close-knit family who will carry his memory with them. He is remembered fondly by his nephews, Jimmy D. James (Jennifer) and Michael James; his niece, Traci Murray (Glen); his great-nieces, Rebecca Copeland (Tim) and Elisabeth Murray (Faris); and his great-nephew, Flynn James. Each of them holds treasured memories of time spent with Bryce, reflecting the loving relationships he fostered.
In honor of his life and legacy, a memorial gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Bryce's contributions to the world around him. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the support of the community during this difficult time. Bryce Kevin James will be remembered for his laughter, kindness, and the lasting memories he created with those he loved.
