Obituary

Brian William Stank, age 57, of Hattiesburg, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman W. Stank; grandparents, O.V. and Mary Etta Walker; aunt, Rita Everett; and uncle, Joe Stank.

Brian is survived by his mother, Mary Anne Stank; sister, Beverly (Joshua) Mann; niece, Catie Mann; nephew, Jonathan Mann; uncle, Jerald Everett; cousins, Sonya Skeleton and her family, and Preston Everett and his family; and Uncle Joe Stank's daughters, Angela Johnson, Cathy Mills, and Christine Lopez.

Brian was a native of Long Beach, MS and was a resident of both Hattiesburg and Long Beach. He went to school in Long Beach and graduated from Long Beach High School, Class of 1986. After high school, Brian attended MGCCC and received an associate's degree.

Brian loved sports, watching football, playing golf and going fishing. He and his dad were USM fans and enjoyed going to the football games together.

Visitation will be 10:00 am -11:00 am, Saturday, August 1, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Long Beach and the memorial service will be at 11:00 am. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial contributions to the Baptist Children's Village or First Baptist Church, Long Beach.
