Brenda LaFontaine Corkern

Brenda LaFontaine Corkern of Bay Saint Louis, MS, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the age of 61.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles LaFontaine and Nora Thornton LaFontaine; and her son-in-law, Michael Peterson.

Brenda is survived by her children, Robert Corkern, Mary Peterson, Carolyn Hosty (Damon), Ashley LaFontaine and Christine Myers; siblings, Nora Johnson, Charles “Bubba” LaFontaine, Barilyn (Glenn) Bonano, Dianner (Scott) Patterson, Joyce (David) Winslow, and Kermit “Ted” LaFontaine; grandchildren, Gabriel Corkern, Kylie McAlister, Robert McAlister, Annie Butcher, Colby smith, Raine Corkern, Jimmy Corkern, Dakota Peterson, Graedyn Hosty, Landyn Hosty, Ryder Hosty, Roman Hosty, Hazleigh Hosty, Skyler Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Jr., and Roger Petranek.  

She retired after 17 years from Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy and worked as a Correctional Officer in the Hancock County Jail.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Bayou Caddy Cemetery, Ansley Community, visitation from 11:00am until service at 12:00pm.
