Bobby Joe "Bob" Rothe, age 86, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Bay St. Louis, MS.
Bob joined the U.S. Army at age 16 and served in the Korean War. He was a kind and gentle man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Eula Lee Rothe, his loving wife, Jean Murphy Rothe; granddaughter, Michael Christelle Rothe; sons, Robert "Bobby" Rothe and Neil Rothe; great-grandson, Zack Whitfield.
He is survived by his son, Michael Rothe (Joy) of San Diego, CA; daughters, Mary Jean Rothe of Dallas, TX and Barbara Hale (C.J.) of Long Beach; grandchildren, Patrick Rothe, Joshua Rothe, Leah Rothe, Kevin Rothe, Todd Hale (Anne), Melissa Vonder Bruegge (Bo); great-grandchildren, Luis Jackson, Erin Hale, Nathan Hale, Kyler Rothe, Danica Pfeffer, Phoenix Rothe, Brody Rothe (expecting in March); great-great grandchildren, Presley Whitfield and Kylie Whitfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 8am, Monday, February 13, 2017, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/donate.
