Blake Byerly

August 27, 2016 — August 20, 2016

Adam Blake Byerly, age 40, passed away on August 20, 2016, in Fairhope, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, William L. (Bill) Byerly Jr., grandparents, William L. (Bud) Byerly, Sr., Syble Smith Byerly., Ples Booth, and Rita Moye Booth Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel, children, Dustin Lee Byerly, Harleigh Ann Byerly, Kayleigh Blake Byerly, Daniel Jacob Alexander, Erin Elizabeth Alexander and Ryan Dean Atkins; Blake's mother, Shirley Booth-Byerly, sisters, Trina (Ray) Moye and Trish (Dennis) Wiggins, as well as numerous other family members and friends including his best friend, Spudz.
Blake was a native of Pensacola, FL, and spent his formative years in New Orleans and Tuscaloosa, AL. Blake attended Hillcrest High School and the University of West Alabama. He then joined the Alabama National Guard. Blake will be remembered for his love and dedication to his children, as well as his skills at throwing a cast net at the Fairhope Pier, a beloved pastime for both Blake and his Dad. Blake's most cherished characteristic was his well-known generosity. His desire and willingness to help anyone in need sprang from his genuine love for others.
Blake also loved life to the fullest, had a infectious laugh and thoroughly enjoyed a unique sense of humor. Blake's request after his father's death included his wish for a celebration rather than the traditional memorial service. Therefore, as per his request,
A Celebration of Blake's time on Earth, before his journey to the Final Frontier will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 5 pm at a convenient location near the Fairhope Pier. ""Tee-shirts, shorts, and skeeter spray please. Also bring lots of covered dishes, as we are feeding Mama and Erin Elizabeth.""
