Billy Ray LoPresto, Sr. passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on June 2, 1942, in Long Beach, Mississippi.

Billy will be remembered as a man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and the people he loved most. He served in the U.S. Army, and that service remained a meaningful part of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed playing guitar, playing cards, going to the casino, making trips, fishing, and making nets. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, and that time together brought him great happiness through the years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Lassabe; his father, Marion LoPresto, Sr.; his wife, Gloria LoPresto; and his brother, Marion LoPresto, Jr.

Billy leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his children, Rebecca Shipp and HP, Anna Samuel Bartimus and Travis, Tina Desjardin and David, Becky LoPresto Moran, Johnny LoPresto and Heather, Billy LoPresto and Lynn, Sheri LoPresto and Joe Smith, and Carlos Serrano and Marilyn, along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their lives were made richer by his presence, his companionship, and the many moments they shared as a family.

Billy Ray LoPresto will be remembered with love by all who knew him. His family and friends will hold close the memories of his music, his travels, his time on the water, and the joy he found in being with those he loved.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Friday, September 4, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach. The funeral service will start at 2:00 pm and interment will be at Conn Cemetery immediately after the funeral service.
