Billie Joe Porterfield

Billie Joe Porterfield, age 78, passed away April 8, 2016 in Ocean Springs, MS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jo Porterfield; his mother, Ella Jane Porterfield; his father, Dean Porterfield; and his brothers, Kennith Porterfield, J.V. Porterfield, J.L. Porterfield, R.C. Porterfield, and William Porterfield.
Billie is survived by his children, Roxann (Randy) Davidson, of Saucier, MS, and Lisa Perdue of Gulfport, MS; his grandchildren, Chase Davidson, Melody Davidson, Gage Cook, and Logan Cook; and several nieces and nephews.
Billie was a member of Lighthouse Full Gospel Fellowship and frequently visited other congregations. He was a simple man, content with the ""old ways"". He enjoyed spending time with his church family and friends, gardening and listening to the radio with a good cup of black coffee. He will be remembered for his bibbed overalls, fresh vegetables, trips to the grocery store on his tractor, and daily phone calls to those he loved.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, from 6:00-8:00pm, with a service on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Coalville Cemetery.
