Billie "Bill" Culumber

Billie “Bill” Culumber, 91 of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away on November 13, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on July 21, 1932 in Decatur, IL to the late Paul & Atha Culumber.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Culumber; siblings, George Wade, and Woodrow Culumber.

Bill enjoyed playing cards at the Elks Lodge where he was a lifetime member.  He worked for the United States Post Office until his retirement.  Bill loved his animals and always gave to the Humane Society.  He joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Keesler and Fairbanks.  After his military service he settled here on the Gulf Coast.  Bill married, Jo Marie and they were married 19 years.  He then married Doris and they were married for over 30 years until her passing.  Bill was a charismatic individual with a big heart and laugh.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bill is survived by his son, Robert (Sandra) Culumber; daughter, Sandra (Dean) Wise Sr.; grandchildren, Sydney Jo Culumber, Thomas (Ashley) Wise Jr, Angela (Jimmy) Erwin, William “Will” Wise; great grandchildren, James “J J” Erwin V, and Taryn Wise; brother, Joe Culumber; step daughter, Leslie Deppe; and his beloved dog “Abbey”.  Bill also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home- Biloxi (274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi).  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home Chapel with burial and Military Honors to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.

The family would like to give a heartfelt, “Thank You” to his best friends and neighbors, Gary & Julie Pierce for their support during this difficult time.
