Beverly Jane McManus

Beverly ""Jane"" McManus, age 71 of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016, in Gulfport, MS.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Preston T. McManus; parents, Nashful and Johnnie Baggett; and brother, Billy G. Ellis, Sr.
She is survived by her step daughter, Pamela McManus; sister, Ann Kranz (Mike); sister-in-law, Verna Ellis; special nephews, Jeffery Kranz (Amy), and Russell Jones of Gulfport, MS, Billy G. ""Buddy"" Ellis (Robin), Kenneth Ellis (Chressy), and Thomas Ellis (Dawn); special niece, Wendy Linder (Jacob) of Grand Bay, AL; a very special great nephew who melted her heart, Connor Nash Kranz; and many other great nieces, nephews, relatives, and special friends.
Mrs. McManus has been a resident of Gulfport, MS since 1959. She was a member of First Free Church of God in Gulfport. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Branson. She was a loving and caring wife and devoted caretaker for Veteran patients for more than 30 years, providing friendship and compassion for those that needed her care. Before she became ill, whenever anyone visited her she made sure they had something to eat before they left her home. She always showed that Southern Hospitality. Beverly was a beautiful person inside and out and all that knew her knew that she lived the life of a Christian woman.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Mrs. Cathy Bates and all the staff on the Progressive Care Unit of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for the special care given to Mrs. McManus.
A visitation will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, February 29, 2016, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS, with a funeral service beginning at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in First Free Church of God Cemetery.
