Obituary

Beverly Ann Gondrella Holetz, age 86, passed away peacefully after a long illness on February 23, 2026. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, she carried the warmth, resilience, and vibrant spirit of her hometown throughout her life.

Family was the center of Beverly’s world. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family never wavered. Her favorite people were always the kids, and she welcomed them all with open arms and an open heart, making each one feel seen, known, and deeply loved. She believed deeply in Family, God, and Country - and she showed it in the way she loved, served, and lived.

A proud graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans, Beverly dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Registered Nurse. Caring for people was not simply her career - it was her calling. She offered strength, steadiness, and compassion to countless patients and families throughout her years of service.

Her faith was central to who she was. Beverly was an active and devoted member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she served faithfully in multiple church organizations. She especially loved organizing and presenting the St. Joseph Altar, a tradition that reflected both her deep faith and her love of bringing people together.

Beverly was a gifted artist who enjoyed oil painting and creating stained glass. Beverly was also a hobby jewelry designer, expressing her creativity through intricate and beautiful pieces. She loved to travel and enjoyed water aerobics.

She was truly a spitfire - dynamite in a petite package, with a sharp wit and a quiet humor that could light up a room.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, George Edward Holetz II; her parents, Fred E. Gondrella and Annie Serita Gondrella; and her siblings, Frederick H. Gondrella and Janet G. Sexton.

Beverly is survived by her children: George E. Holetz III; Joan H. Landers (Richard); David Holetz (Patty); and Christopher Holetz.

She is also survived by her sister, Janice Kidd.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Nicholas Landers (Nicole); Ashley Holetz (George Dupuis); George Holetz IV (Shelby); Brittni Landers (Douglas Chessen); Hannah Graham (Jeff); Danielle Landers; Zoe Holetz (Michael Ballio II); Matthew Holetz; Matěj Dittmann and Alžběta Dittmannová.

She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: George Dupuis II “Z,” Raiden, Beverly Dupuis, Michael Ballio III “Tripp,” Archer Landers, and River Landers, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved her dearly.
