Betty Jean Stewart, age 68 and a resident of Gulfport, died on April 21, 2016, in Gulfport.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, and registered nurse who retired from Memorial Hospital after 25 years of committed service to her patients, coworkers, and community. She was also a longtime member of St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport.
Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Alma Stallings and her brothers, Willie and Leon Stallings.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Keith Stewart; her son, Donnie Stewart of Foley, AL; her daughter, Amy (James) King of Gulfport; her granddaughter, Julianna Stewart of Pensacola, FL; her brother, Gerry Cox of Denver, CO and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016, at 11am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. There will be a reception immediately following the graveside service in Presentation Hall at St. John Catholic Church.
