Betty was a native of Pennsylvania.  She was a Girl Scout for many years, a volunteer at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, braille book maker at the Lutheran Church in Gulfport.  Betty was a high school booster.  She loved cooking and making Japanese dolls. Betty was a perfectionist in everything she did.

Betty had a wonderful life full of love.  She married her soulmate, Max, on January 15, 1955.  Shortly after, the family began.  Betty was a military spouse for 22 years.  She was employed at The Care Center, Walmart, Joy’s Hallmark, and a bookkeeper for the family business.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Max R. Mock; her parents, Charles, and Grace Showalter; and her four brothers, Skip Showalter, Jim Showalter, Jack Showalter, and Charles Showalter.  She is survived by her five children, James (Rae) Mock, Charles Mock, Wesley Mock, Denise Mock, and Amy (Ron) Blanton; her grandchildren, Orion Miller, Chase Mock, Everett Mock, Grace Miller, Jeremy Miller, Erica Serrano; her great grandchildren, Emma Serrano, and Alice Serrano; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and the Singing River Hospital System.  We would also like to thank the many families and friends for all the love and support during this time.

The memories she created with us will allow her to live on forever in our hearts.
