Betty """"Mops"""" Gallagher, age 73, resident of Pass Christian, died, Thursday, May 10, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Gallagher was a resident of the coast all of her life. She attended St. Joseph School in Pass Christian and graduated from Pass Christian High School. She taught school for 35 years at Annunciation School and later retired from Pass Christian Schools. Mrs. Gallagher was a member of St Stephens Catholic Church . She loved dancing, working in her yard, arts and crafts and loved trips to the French Quarter with her friends and loved spending holidays with her family.
Mrs. Gallagher was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Smith Jones and Ethel Bland Dedeaux Jones and a daughter, June Leslie Bourdin. She is survived by her husband, John Gallagher of Pass Chrisitan; her children, Kevin Gallagher and his wife, Angela of Kiln, Kerry Gallagher and his wife Vanessa of Kiln, Kristie Gallagher and Stevie Daniels of Kiln, and Kelly Ziegler and her husband Butch of Pass Christian; her sisters, Judy Burnett of Jacksonville, FL and Kay Allen of Pass Christian; grandchildren, Tyler Gallagher, Bradley Gallagher, Andrew Gallagher, Morgan Gallagher and Abbey Claire Gallagher; and her extended family, Scott Niolet, Robbie Niolet and Shirley Niolet Bates.
Memorials may be made to St. Judes, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2007 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Old Delisle Cemetery.
