Betty Jewel Forbes, age 81, of Leakesville, MS, passed away on July 29, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Forbes; her mother and step-father, Mable and Louis Hall, her father and step-mother, Chester and Mary Methvien; brothers, Tom Methvien, and Chester Methvien; sisters, Louise Leonard, Ann Walker, and Mae Rohner; son, Wayne Pence; and granddaughter, Carolyn Breeland.
She is survived by her children, Melvin and Josie Pence and Leslie Bernard and Louis Lester; siblings, Mary Disotell, Vesta Brown, and Mary Nell Everett; and grandchildren, Daniel Thomas Leslie Pence, Jimmy Lee Del Krout, Brandy Ann Pence, Shelly Pence, Tracie Pence, and Alysia and Marcus Bridges; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the Assembly of God, Leakesville with a visitation for family and friends from 2:00 PM until the service.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Luke 10:27, A Community of Faith Church, Denham Springs, LA with a visitation for family and friends from 8:30 AM until the service. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, LA.
