Betty Vaughn Filipich

Betty Vaughn Filipich, age 83, and a resident of Ocean Springs, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014.
Mrs. Filipich was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Paul ""K-9"" Filipich; parents, Vaughn Franklin Dunbar Fryfogle, and Mary Elizabeth Musgrove Fryfogle; Siblings, Pal Fryfogle and Glen Fryfogle; and nephew, Kenneth Ross, Jr.
Mrs. Filipich is survived by her children, Rick Hamm and his wife Cindy of Lucedale, Nicky Filipich and his wife Michelle of Biloxi, and Paul Filipich of Arizona; nieces, Diane Ross and Linda Morgan, both of Ocean Springs; brother, Bruce Fryfogle and his wife Vivian of Lucedale; sisters-in-law, Louise Fryfogle, Etta Mae Fryfogle, and Pollie Fryfogle, all of Lucedale; grandchildren, Jason Hamm, Lance Hamm, Nicholas and Mary Katherine Filipich, Walter Neill, Michael and John Manning, nine great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi, where friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to ""The Lord is My Help,"" 1215 Desoto St., Ocean Springs, MS 39564, or to ""The Mustard Seed,"" 1085 Luckney Road, Brandon, MS 39047.
