Bettie Faye Smith

Bettie Rowell "Bill" Smith, age 90, of Long Beach, MS, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 17, 2025.

Bill was born in Mount Holly, AR on May 5, 1935.  She was an avid gardener and talented quilter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hettie Rowell; her brother, Joe Rowell; and sister, Geraldine Burns. 

Bill is survived by her husband, of 70 years, Charles "Charley" Smith; her children, Angie (Brian) Borey, Lisa Fillingame, Russell (Blair) Smith; her grandchildren, Emily (Jeff) Spillyards, Cate (Stephen) DeBerry, and Gracie Fillingame; her great-grandchildren, Claire and Sara Spillyards and Alexander and Andrew DeBerry.

A celebration of life will be held at a late. 

Bill's kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by family, many friends, and those that knew her.
