Bessie M. Yager, age 87 of Biloxi, MS passed away on January 24, 2018.
Born February 13, 1930 in Pascagoula, MS, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Bush, Sr. and the late Bessie (Hester) Bush.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Patrick Bush and Thomas Bush; her sisters Dola Mae (Bush) Douglas; Bertie (Bush) Miller and Eleanor (Bush) Whitehead; and her husband Jesse Oliver Yager, whom she married August 14, 1954; and her son-in-law Joseph M. Ioffredo.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth M. Yager and her wife, Stephanie Puentes, of Santa Rosa, CA., and Eileen Ioffredo, of Biloxi, MS; her granddaughters Jennifer and her husband, Jeffrey Chewins, of Ocean Springs, MS and Melissa Ioffredo, of Palenville, NY; her great granddaughters Lily Chewins, of Ocean Springs, MS and Emily Russo, of Palenville, NY; her sisters, Betty Lou and her husband, Harvey Breland, of Terra Haute, IN, Ina Rae and her husband, Gene Grubbs, of Moss Point, MS; Linda Bush of Metairie, LA and Janie Bush of Decatur, AL; her brothers Charles L. Bush, Jr. and his wife Sherrill, of Hurley, MS; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Bessie loved to garden, dance and crochet. She was a true, beautiful Southern Belle, who exuded grace, style and class.
Visitation will be held, January 28, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with the service from 2:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at Washington Ave., West Jackson County. Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery, 5112 Machpelah St., Pascagoula, MS. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
