Bertha Naomi Cassady

Bertha Naomi Cassady, age 82, of Gulfport, passed away on November 17, 2014 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edythe Porter; three brothers, Edward Porter, Robert Porter and Ronald Porter; and her husband, Gaston Earl Cassady.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Victor) Johnson of Irvington, AL, Benita (Eddy) Hughes of Gulfport, MS, Rhonda Cassady Lee of Schertz, TX and Larry (Judy) Cassady of Pensacola, FL; her grandchildren, Sabrina Isham, Charles Hutchins, Jr., Rueben (Brandi) Hutchins, Troy (Monica) Hughes, Jennifer (Steven) Munn, Samantha (Brandon) Goggans, and Travis Garrett Lee; and seven great grandchildren.
She enjoyed work and did so until age 81 having worked as a dietician at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and then for Swingster Factory, both for over 20 years, and recently as a receptionist at Biloxi Housing Authority.
She was a member and past president of TOPS and was of the Baptist faith.
The funeral service will be on held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Northwood Church, O'Neal Rd, Gulfport at 12:00 noon, with a visitation for friends and family beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens, Gulfport.
