Bernice Linda Waddell Vicente, age 80, passed away on August 31, 2024 in Pascagoula, MS.
She was born in Andalusia, Alabama, to Mathew Stokes and Alma Vaughn Stokes, and attended Andalusia High School. She worked as a cosmetologist for many years, even owning two beauty shops, and traveled with her husband during his military service. A resident of St. Martin since 1976, she was a longtime member of the Sunkist Country Club and had a passion for golf, archery, fishing, cooking. She also cherished spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Marlon Thomas; parents, Mathew and Alma Stokes; granddaughter, Hayley Maultsby; great-grandson, Aiden Sullivan; sister, Shirley Mock (Hill); nephew, Andy Mock; and five half siblings. Additionally, she was preceded in death by three husbands she married later in life, Junlee Rick Richey, George Waddell and Ted Vicente.
Left behind to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Angela Alley (Timmy) of Biloxi, Lisa Maultsby (Steve) of Vancleave; step-daughter, Dena Richey Bright; five grandchildren, Matthew Alley (Adriana), Chad Alley, James Sullivan (Alicia), Brandilyn Eskelinen (Seth), Ky Maultsby; and eight great-grandchildren, Garrett Alley, McKenzie Alley, Grayson Alley, Julian Sullivan, Liam Sullivan, Madolynn Sullivan, Blakelyn Eskelinen and Brooke Eskelinen.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024, with a reception from 3:30-5:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. Biloxi, MS (West Jackson County).
