Barney Joe Cannaday, age 62, of Gulfport, passed away on March 16, 2018.
Barney was born in Japan to Harold Eugene Cannaday and Shigeko Goto Cannaday. He served in the United States Army and retired after 20 years. He loved spending time outdoors and will be remembered for his complete dedication to the military and love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother-in-law, Ricky Tisdale.
He is survived by his wife, Maria "Stacey" Cannaday; children, Heather Grace Cannaday Malaga (J. Antonio Gomez Malaga) and Jesse Sabrina Cannaday; his mother, Shigeko Goto Cannaday; siblings, Ron Cannaday, Mike Cannaday (Martha), David Cannaday, John Cannaday, and Connie Tisdale; his beloved granddaughter, Coraline Alica Malaga; and his extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 2:30 pm-5:00 pm. Military honors will be rendered at 5:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Private burial at the Biloxi National Cemetery will be at a later date.
