Barbara L. "Babs" White, age 75 passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at St. Joseph Hospice.
She was born December 12, 1942, in Ohio and was the oldest daughter of Milton and Gloria Pinckney. Babs moved to New York as a child, where she lived until 1961, when she married her high school sweetheart, Bob. The military granted them the opportunity to live in several states and Canada before they finally settled in Long Beach in 1970.
Babs was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years; her sister, Elizabeth VanBolhuis; her son, Jeff (Jodie) White; daughter, Beth (Joe) Liberato; six grandchildren, Jessica (Troy) Nichols, Ashley (Dusty) Burkette, and their mother, Kathy White, Adrian (Caleb) Watkins, Vince (Leiley) Liberato, Kim (John) Huffman, and Anthony Liberato; great grandchildren, Greyson, Bailey, Mason Burkette, Annistyn Nichols, Bella Watkins, Maddison, Sophie, and Jack Liberato, and Cooper Huffman.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 2 nd , at 12:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service. A reception will be held in the funeral home's reception center following the service.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Keesler Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Boyington Nursing Home, and St. Joseph Hospice for all their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
