Barbara Ann Fillingame

Barbara Ann Fillingame, age 81 of Gulfport, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016.
Affectionately known as Mimi by those who love her, Ms. Fillingame was born in the Success Community and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Grace Memorial Baptist Church, where she was very involved with her church family. She enjoyed volunteering and caring for the elderly.
Mimi loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she often told, ""I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.""
Mrs. Fillingame was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Prentiss Fillingame, Sr.; and her parents, Carl and Marine Stewart Cuevas.
She is survived by her children, Gary ""Buddy"" Fillingame, Jr. of Alaska, Carl ""Andy"" Fillingame (Lisa) of McHenry, Rhonda Carlson of Gulfport, and Roxanne Kovacevich of Gulfport; her grandchildren, Drew Spradley, Todd Fillingame, Ashley Seymer, Kristina Kovacevich, Annie Weaver Gomila, Lanie Kovacevich, Catie Fillingame, Amber Mattox, and Gracie Fillingame; and her great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Slade, and Baylor.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 2301 23rd Ave., Gulfport, MS, 39501, with a funeral service immediately following in the sanctuary. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, is serving the family.
