Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Scarborough, a strong-willed (stubborn) woman who loved deeply, passed away on May 20, 2026, in Long Beach, Mississippi. Born September 21, 1945, in Gulfport, Mississippi, she lived a full life marked by dedication to her family and friends.

Bobbie was a very proud owner of her florist that she ran for several years in Long Beach on Jeff Davis Avenue. She took great joy in creating beautiful flower arrangements, loved being on boats with her husband, Bookie, countless hours at ballgames with her two kids, Rhonda and William (Willie), working in her yard, cooking/baking, and above all spending time with her only grandchild, Brandon Jacob.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda Scarborough Halterlein (Vinnie) and William “Willie” Scarborough, Jr. (Brandi Strahan); and grandson, Brandon Jacob Halterlein. She also leaves behind her sisters, Betty Burnthorne and Sandra “Sandy” Kirschenheuter.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bookie” Scarborough, Sr. and her daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Scarborough.

In her final days, special thanks to Southern Living Assistance Services (Robin, Tammy and staff), St. Joseph’s Hospice, her best friend, Linda (Linda Jean) VonderBruegge, her good friend that was with her the last year, Ms. Shirley Holmes, and the best caretaker/friend that we could have asked for, Tangie Necaise Perez.

Family, friends, and loved ones will have the opportunity to pay their respects during a visitation on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Riemann Funeral Home in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at the same location. Burial will take place afterward at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport at 12:30 pm.
