Barbara A. Bates

Barbara A. Bates, age 79, of Long Beach, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 29, 2012 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Bates was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Bates, Sr., a daughter, Patricia Bates Stepp, her parents, Noel and Ruby Hartley, and 2 sisters, Myrtle Greeson and Billie Jo Davis.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Robert ""Bobby"" Bates, Jr., and his wife Jackie, and Larry Bates and his wife K.C., a son-in-law, Tommy Stepp, 6 grandchildren, Jack Bowell, Robby Bates, Larry Bates, Jr., Brandy Jones, Stephanie McMahon, and Beau Bates, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 11 am - 1 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS. The funeral service will be at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
