In Loving Memory of Bahman Nekooei

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bahman Nekooei, a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished brother, and esteemed engineer. Bahman left this world on Sunday, May 19th, 2024, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 84. His departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Born with a remarkable ambition that set him apart from his peers, Bahman's journey began at a young age. At 18, his exceptional talents led him to be selected for the prestigious project of constructing the renowned Dez Dam. His dedication and skill were evident from the outset, laying the foundation for a career marked by excellence.

Bahman pursued his passion for engineering at the University of Louisiana, LSU, graduating in 1966 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Armed with knowledge and a thirst for innovation, he embarked on a professional odyssey that spanned continents and cultures.

Throughout his life, Bahman called many places home, traversing the United States and eventually returning to his native Iran in 1979. It was there that he found love and companionship in Sima Ahmadkhani, whom he married shortly thereafter. Together, they embarked on a journey that took them to Shiraz and later to Tehran, where Bahman lent his expertise to the operations of a German factory, Decal and Boring Company.

The call of opportunity beckoned once more, leading Bahman back to the United States, where he spent the remainder of his days in Gulfport, Mississippi, and Orange County, California. These years were filled with joy, surrounded by loved ones and the fulfillment of a life well-lived.

Bahman's legacy extends far beyond his professional accomplishments. He was a devoted family man, finding solace and strength in the love of his wife, Sima, with whom he shared 45 beautiful years. His sons, Behrouz and Behzad, were the pride and joy of his life, and he found immense happiness in the presence of his grandson, Caleb, and daughter-in-law, Zohreh.

In Bahman's passing, we mourn not only the loss of a remarkable individual but also the end of an era. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ali and Fatemeh Nekooei, as well as his brothers, Mohammad and Akbar Nekooei, and sisters, Kefayat and Nayhayat Nekooei. Bahman is survived by his loving brother, Bahram (wife Arasteh) Nekooei, whose steadfast presence brought comfort and strength throughout Bahman's life.

Bahman Nekooei leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering determination. His memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

May he rest in eternal peace.

به‌ نام ایزد منان 

در سوگ بهمن عزیز . 

با اندوه فراوان به اطلاع میرسانیم اقای مهندس بهمن نکویی ، همسری محبوب و پدری متعهد ، برادری گرامی و مهندسی سخت کوش در روز یکشنبه 19  ماه می ( ۳۱ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۳) در شهر گالفپورت ایالت می سی سی پی امریکا در سن 84 سالگی دار فانی را وداع گفت و چراغ عمرش خاموش شد😰💔😰 جای خالی او در دل تمام‌ کسانی که او را میشناختند به شدت احساس می‌شود .  سفرهای بهمن از جوانی آغاز شد و او در 18 سالگی زادگاهش جهرم را ترک کرد و  در پروژه سد دز اندیمشک که در ان سالها در حال ساخت بود پذیرفته و با علاقه مشغول کار شد . مدتی نیز در فرودگاه مهرآباد تهران و برج مراقبت مشغول به کار گردید . اما این موقعیت های کاری او را قانع و ارضاع نکرد . لذا در سال ۱۹۶۵ برای ادامه‌ تحصیل راهی امریکا گردید و در دانشگاه ایالتی لوییزیانا (LSU) در رشته مورد علاقه خود تحصیل و با درجه مهندسی برق و الکترونیک فارغ التحصیل گردید . او سالها در شرکت‌های معتبر امریکا در شیکاگو کار‌ و کسب تجربه و مهارت کرد و سپس راهی ایران شد تا در کمپانی پزرگ پتروشیمی ایران ژاپن واقع در بندر شاهپور سابق و بندر امام فعلی  که  بزرگترین پروژه پتروشیمی خاورمیانه بود شروع به کار کند، پس از چند سال به استان زادگاه خود بازگشت و در شیراز  کار خود را در شرکت صنایع الکترونیک ایران  ادامه داد. در همان شهر بود که با سیما  احمد خانی پیوند محکم و عاشقانه زناشویی بست و اکنون  45 سال از آن  پیوند مستحکم و استوار میگذرد . در ان سالها سفرهای متعددی کاری و‌ غیره  به امریکا و اروپا داشت.  سپس  راهی تهران شد تا بتواند در آنجا در شرکت مهندسی آلمانی دکل و بورینگر با پشتکار و علاقه ویژه کار کند لذا بخشی از دوران زندگی خود و دوران نوجوانی  فرزندانش در تهران سپری گردید.  و  اما دست تقدیر دوباره او را جهت ادامه زندگی و طی کردن دوران بازنشستگی راهی امریکا کرد تا بتواند زندگی آرامی را در کنار همسر و فرزندان دلبند خود بهروز و بهزاد در اورنج کانتی و جنوب می سی سی پی ادامه دهد . این خانواده اکنون صاحب  عروسی با نام زهره خانم از شیراز و نوه دلبندی با نام شهروز  هستند که اکنون در شرکت  مرسدس بنز به عنوان یک مهندس مکانیک جوان کار می‌کند . او آرزومند بود که‌ در  مراسم مفصل عروسی فرزندش شرکت کند. او امید داشت که برای بار دیگر تنها برادر محبوبش  آقا بهرام  و همه وابستگان عزیزش را ببیند که متأسفانه میسر نشد. او با تاسف در این دوران پدر، مادر و دو برادرش مرحوم آقایان  محمد حسین و اکبر را از دست داد و در سوگ دو خواهر  خود خانم‌ها کفایت و نهایت  غصه دار شد . بهمن سرشار از عشق به همسر، فرزندان ، همه برادرزاده ها و خواهر زاده ها و  سایر وابستگان خانواده و همچنین مشوق و راهنمای بزرگ جهت جوانان فامیل بود و برای  آرامش و رفاه عزیزانش تلاش فراوان کرد. هرگز لبخند شیرین  و مهربانی هایش را فراموش نمیکنیم. خاطرات خوبش تا ابد در دل‌هامون جاودان خواهد ماند. روحش شاد ، یادش گرامی و روانش در آرامش ابدی باد. 👏💚👏
