Averil Cleveland Necaise

Averil Cleveland Necaise of Pass Christian, MS was born on October 3, 1954, in Gulfport, MS, passed away on June 24, 2025, in the same city.   He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Kathy Necaise, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Averil was a proud 18-wheel driver for 40 years, and he truly loved being on the road.

In addition to his passion for trucking, Averil cherished the time spent as a pawpaw to his grandchildren, enjoying moments watching them play while sitting comfortably in his chair. He had many hobbies that brought him joy, including woodworking and riding around on his four-wheeler.

Averil is survived by his son, Craig Necaise, and daughter-in-law, Trish Necaise. He took great pride in his grandchildren: Felicia Bourne, along with her husband, Dustin, Chyna, Madison, and Christopher Necaise. He was also a loving great-grandfather to Charlee, Maverick, Kaitlee, Dominic, and Tyshawn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvert "Bud" Necaise and Rosemary Ladner.

Visitation will be held on June 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM with Deacon Earl Saucier officiating at the Riemann Family Funeral Home in Pass Christian, MS. The family invites friends and acquaintances to come and share in the memory of Averil, a man who touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of love and adventure.
