August Anthony Marie, Jr., age 83, of Long Beach, passed away on May 22, 2013 in Long Beach.
He was preceded in death by his father, August Anthony Marie, Sr; his mother, Mary Barlow; two sisters, Doris Byrd and Patricia Maliongas; and a daughter, Cheryl VanZandt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Carol Marie; his children, Ricky Marie (Sandy), Wayne Marie (Margaret), Steve Marie, Laura Green (Gee Gee), Linda Nelson, Kathy McManus (Jim), and Curtis Marie; a sister, Lurlene Theriot; a brother, Donald Marie (Carolyn); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
August Marie will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was the owner of the The Fox's Den and the Beachcomber.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the home of Wayne and Margaret Marie, 20025 Patton Road, Long Beach.
