Audrey L. Pierson

October 23, 1930 — June 15, 2016

The Pierson family matriarch, Audrey Lou Pierson, age 85, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 15, 2016.
Audrey was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on October 23, 1930. She moved to Long Beach as a young girl, later married, and had eight children. She was also a long time member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Our mother will always be remembered for her brilliant mind, kindness, her love of others, and the strongest heart a woman could ever have after all the life tragedies she endured. She will be missed forever and ever by all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pierson, Jr.; and her four sons, Johnny, Chris, Timmy, and Danny Pierson.
She is survived by her sister, Kathleen (Pat) Holley; four daughters, Judy (Tony) Long, Joan (Gary) Barker, Donna (Warren) Stokes, and Gail (Ricky) Mitchell; her 16 grandchildren; her 26 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 1 PM on Friday, June 17, 2016, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Long Beach City Cemetery.
