Audrey Faye Maskew, age 90, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James W. Maskew; her parents, Virgil Lamar Massey and Stella Agatha Vick Massey; her siblings, Rayford Massey, Ardis Harper, Billie Harper, and Raymond Massey; and her stepchildren, John Maskew, Karen Hodges, and Sandra Seymour.
She is survived by her son, Richard Huffmaster (Elizabeth) of Gulfport; her stepchildren, Patsy Nall, Cathy Busby, Jimmy Maskew (Billie), and Brenda Loney (Earl); her grandchildren, Justin Huffmaster and Jerald Huffmaster; numerous step-grandchildren; her siblings, Katie Bragg, Ronnie Massey, and Joyce White (Douglas); and her best friend, Fredna Cody.
Audrey dedicated 34 years of service to Bellsouth/AT&T, retiring in 1991. She cherished her retirement years spent with her husband on their 50-acre farm, where they raised livestock, tended to their garden, and enjoyed the tranquility of country life. Audrey's greatest joy was being a grandmother and nurturing her family. She will be fondly remembered for her famous gumbo and the love she shared with all who knew her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her niece, Agatha Magnusen, who stepped in and provided exceptional care to Audrey.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, MS. Interment will follow at Free Church of God Cemetery in Gulfport.
