Aubrey Johnson

Chief Master Sergeant Aubrey L. Johnson, USAF, Retired, age 89, of D'Iberville, passed away Monday, December 11th 2017 at his residence.
Chief Johnson was preceded in death by his first wife, Susie Johnson; his parents, Clarence D. Johnson and Garnet Hilliard Johnson; brothers, Arnold Johnson, Alvin Johnson, Ronald Johnson, Raymond Johnson, Everett Johnson and Dee Johnson, and two sisters, Louise Johnson and Carrie Mae Johnson Rusk.
Chief Johnson is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lynda F. Johnson; a brother, Larry Johnson of Vancouver, Washington; two daughters, Dee Brandt (James) of Orlando, Florida and Amy Whitley of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Chief Johnson was a 30 year veteran of the United States Air Force serving in numerous assignments both in the United States and abroad.  He is the recipient of many accolades and awards recognizing various achievements too numerous to itemize. Chief Johnson dedicated his life to the service of the country he loved and to its people. As General Douglas MacArthur once said, "Old soldiers never die, they just fade away." Chief Johnson has faded away from this life to a new beginning, but he will never die in the memory of those who loved him and cherished his service.  Farewell our friend and loved one, may you find peace and happiness in the next life as you have given to others in this one.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, from 10:30 am - 11:30 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi.  The funeral service will be at 11:30 am in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
