Athern Edward Davis, age 86, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 in Gulfport.
He served in the United States Army and retired from Wigley & Culp. He was an avid Alabama fan, loved fishing, and yard sales. His favorite hobby was making and watching home videos.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ellen Davis; parents, Charles Athern and Bessie Irene Davis; brothers, Roscoe and Bobby Davis; grandson, Colton Davis
He is survived by his children, Terri Shaw (Mark), Kenny Davis, Gloria Yarbrough, and Wade Davis (Jessica); 6 Grandchildren, Levi, Juanita, Kayla, Crystal, Emily, and Charity; 9 great-grandchildren; Siblings, Patricia Bates, Jeanette James (Ronnie), Jerry Davis, Larry Davis (Alice), and Charles Davis.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the funeral home. A burial will follow the service at Finley Cemetery in Saucier.
