This is to announce the passing of Arthur Joseph Allard who passed away on January 7, 2014, at 0905hrs in the morning. He was a long time resident of Long Beach, Mississippi and attended St. Thomas Catholic church in Long Beach. He was born on June 21, 1939, in North Adams, Massachusetts to Albert and Dora Allard. In his life, he served in the United States Air Force and was employed as a computer technician. Many coast residents may remember Art as the one time owner of Sugar Free Heaven in Gulfport, and the host of the radio show ""The Internet Man"" from several years past. He married Ruth Brown at BVM in Biloxi while stationed at Keesler AFB in July of 1959.
He is survived by his brother, Paul, ex-wife Ruth, his sons, Michael and David and his daughter, Leanne; 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dora Allard and his son, Timothy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 12Noon at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery in Pass Christian.
