Arnold Lee “Scooter” Scarborough, Jr, age 62, of Long Beach, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, peacefully in his sleep.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Darrin Scarborough; and his grandparents, Salvador and Mildred Pagano whom he called “momma and papa.”
He is survived by his mother, MaryAnn Pagano; his sister, Daneen Fitzsimmons; aunt, Deanna D’aquin; his nieces, Ashley Brownlee, Brandy Smith, Cara Scarborough, and Mary Claire Scarborough; and his nephews, Joshua Cashwell, Nick Scarborough, Brad Scarborough, and Jared Scarborough; great-nieces, Hayley Smith, Carley Dedeaux, and Emma Bradbury; and great-nephews, Colby Hayes, Liam Scarborough, and Amar Purdy; and numerous other relatives and friends.
“Scooter” lived a great life full of love surrounded by family that loved him greatly. His hobbies included square dancing, bowling, watching Happy Days and NCIS, collecting bottle tops, cutting coupons, watching soap operas and reading Reader’s Digest.
“Scooter” - your life was fuller than most people ever get to experience—overflowing with love, joy, and pure goodness. You truly were an angel on this earth. I hope we honor you in a way that reflects the incredible light you brought into all of our lives. Give Jesus a hug for us, because I know you went straight to heaven in an instant with all the love you carried in your heart. Love you today and always!
“Scooter” was loved by everyone who knew him. He always had a smile on his face.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 10 - 11 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E Beach Blvd, Long Beach, MS 39560. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach, is serving the family.
