Ardith Wiley Lacy of Sellers, MS, went to her Lord on January 30, 2026, having recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

Ardith was a devoted wife, mother and servant to her church, Crane Creek Baptist. For over 69 loving years of marriage, Ardith and her husband, Ed, raised a family. She loved cooking and entertaining and later traveled the country volunteering for missions to Alaska with the Southern Baptist Association in Wasilla, with World Changers and Campers on Mission, eventually visiting all the 48 contiguous states.

Ardith was born in Effie, LA, and met her husband in Shreveport, LA, later moving to Quitman and Pearl, MS. They made lifelong friends wherever they went and home was wherever they were together.

Ardith was preceded in death by her parents, Travis Sr. and Clemmie Paul Wiley; and her sister, Charnelcia Smith Cortez. She is survived by her husband, Ed Lacy; two children, Jed Lacy (Kimberly) of Kerrville, Tx., and Kayla Anderson (Olen) of Sellers, MS; five grandchildren, Victoria Miller (Richie), Daniel Lacy (Carson), Parker Anderson (Jessica), Leif Anderson and Max Anderson; one adored great grandchild Charlotte Miller; and her siblings Sylvia Mann (Jimmy), June Nation (Luthur Adrion) and Travis Wiley Jr. (Linda).

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10 – 11 am at Crane Creek Baptist Church, 30040 Crane Creek Road, Perkinston, MS 39573. The funeral service will then begin at 11:00 am. Fellowship to follow at the church reception hall after the service.
