Archie Taylor, age 84, a longtime resident of Gulfport, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Eliza Taylor; his siblings, Arthur Taylor, Emory Taylor, and Frances Roberts.
Archie is survived by his wife, Lezette Cowart Nunemaker Taylor; his children, Brenda T. (Willie) Jackson, Patricia A. Degeyter, and Timmy Wayne Lee; his step-daughter, Kathy H. Jewell; his brother, Willie L. (Shirley) Taylor; his seven grandchildren, Melissa, Kristie, Rachel, Derek, Angela, Christina, and Sabrina; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, working in the yard and playing his guitar.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Finley Cemetery.
