April May Johnson, of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, at the age of 45.

April was a beautiful soul whose presence could brighten any room she entered. Her smile was contagious and had a way of making everyone around her feel welcome. She was truly the life of the party—full of laughter, warmth, and a love for life that was impossible to overlook.

April never met a stranger. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel like they had known her forever, and she had a gift for becoming a friend to nearly everyone she encountered. To those who knew and loved her, she was more than a friend—she was family.

April’s greatest legacy will be the love she gave to the people around her and the memories she created with them. Her laughter, her smile, her friendship, and her unforgettable personality will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

April is survived by her father, Edward Weldon Wannage; her sisters, Bridget Felicia Walker and Sherry Lynn Wannage; her brothers, Edward James Wannage and John “Johnny” Mark Foucha; her beloved son, Julius Robert Johnson; her cherished granddaughter, Maliyah Natalia Johnson; and her best friend and sister in life, Judy Necaise. She also leaves behind eight beloved nieces and nephews, along with numerous extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

April was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Lisa Wannage.

Though her time with us was far too short, April left an impression that will last a lifetime. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by the many people whose lives she touched.
