Antoinette Annette Hutton Desemar, lovingly known as Toni, passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 84 in Gulfport, MS. Born on November 26, 1938, in New York, Toni led a remarkable and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.

Toni was an extraordinary woman with a variety of passions. She was passionate about cooking, which was her chosen profession.. Alongside her cooking expertise, Toni also expressed herself as an artist, florist, and seamstress. Her creative talents were unrivaled, and she won numerous awards for her breathtaking work.

In addition to her professional achievements, Toni cherished her personal life. She had a deep love for travel and delighted in exploring new places. Fishing with her husband brought her immense joy and created lasting memories they cherished together. She was a wonderful storyteller and a very fun Mother and Grandmother.  She was married to Charles Hutton for 36 years and they settled in Long Beach, where she met her current husband, Remy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Giaquinti and Betty Weber; her sister, Pearl Hardy; her granddaughter, Talia Theofel; her grandson, Blake Jensen; and her special niece, Rebecca Hardy Volle.

Toni is survived by her husband, Julian Remy Desemar; her children, Roger Flier Jr., Mori Smith (Larry), Charlis Dube (Paul), Marla Theofel (George), Serita Jones (Duane), Charles Hutton (Holly), and Angelique Danielle, stepchildren, Remy Desemar Jr., Carrie Ann Lancon, and Lillie Hayes. Her children were always the center of her world.

Toni's legacy continues through generations as she leaves behind numerous grandchildren, Stephanie Flier Newman, Roger Flier III, Jennifer Hassel, John Stage Jr., Nikki Fraser, Justin Morales, Shalie Dube, Paul Dube II, Marisa Theofel, Arianna Theofel, Scarlett Johnson, Mickey Woods, David Hutton, Tiffany Martin, Peyton Lee, Grayson Hutton, Isis Osario, Josh Urbano, Tara Danielle, Riley Jensen, Ferrelyn Jensen, Catherine Boccellari, John Theofel; and great grandchildren, Hallie Hassel, Andrew Stage,Jason Fraser,  Kevin Stage, Nick Fraser, Makenna Carter, Jensen Morales, Seanna Dube, Delia Dube, Matthew Leavitt, Rachel Leavitt, Liberty Woods, Tyler Johnson, Aria Johnson, Jackson Estrade, Andrew Estrade, Noah Estrade, Julieta Hutton, Eva Hutton, Kaden Martin, and Avana Miller.

Toni was known for her warm and caring nature. She was a wonderful wife and a loving mother who showered her children with affection. Her role as a grandmother was a source of immense pride and joy. She formed deep bonds with her grandkids and took great pleasure in watching them grow.

Toni's involvement in her community was exceptional. She was an active member of Gulf Haven Mennonite Church and found solace in her faith. Her dedication to serving others and her strong moral compass were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Antoinette Annette Hutton Desemar's vibrant spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of creativity, strength, and compassion that will continue to inspire future generations. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.

A funeral service will be held on September 16, 2023, at Gulf Haven Mennonite Church in Gulfport at 12:00 PM. The interment will follow at Gulf Haven Mennonite Cemetery located on 21497 Mennonite Road.
