Mr. Anthony Joseph Pereda Quichocho, 62, quietly passed away last Friday, January 31, 2014 with his loving and devoted wife, Marie and his sister, Judy surrounding him. He is so beloved.
Anthony was born in Tamuning, Guam on November 20, 1951. He attended St. Jude Catholic School in Sinajana, Guam and also studied under the care of his aunt Sr. Theresa. He also had a childhood crush on Sr. Gabriel. After graduating high school he entered the U.S. Army serving 2 tours in Vietnam, and then began serving the U.S. Army Reserve for 16 years. Tony was always ambitious, engaging and determined. He never met a stranger and rose to every occasion, and completed every task given to him.
Tony and I met at the Presidio of San Francisco, CA, Letterman Army Medical Center. He won me over with his beautiful smile and engaging brown eyes. My mother and brothers also fell in love with him. These 30 years went very fast. They were years of absolute bliss and a piece of heaven had fallen to earth. He brought to this marriage a wonderful and thoughtful son, Malcolm and his beautiful wife Tammy and a daughter, Cecilia.
Tony will truly be missed by all who have met and/or know him. Farewell my gallant knight. Blaze a trail of glory into your new kingdom. Until we see each other again, rest well My Love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, † Asuncion Perez Pereda and † Vicente Siguenza Quichocho; Grandparents † Ana Perez (Donie) and † Ignacio Pangelinan Pereda, † Juana Siguenza and † Jose Perez Quichocho.
His siblings are Ignacio Pereda Quichocho, Judy and † Gene Wayne Franke, Maria Juana and Antonio T. Cruz, Lourdes Jan Quichocho and Jose Cruz, Vincent and Susan Quichocho.
He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
