Anne Montgomery passed away surrounded by her family on July 26, 2012.
She was born on December 8, 1930 in Ft. Barrancas, FL to the late Col. E.G. Martin and Anne Harrington Martin. She is preceded in death by her brother, Theodore Martin, Dallas, TX, and her son, Byron M. Montgomery, Colleyville, TX.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Lt. Col (Ret) William M. Montgomery, 2 sons, George M. Brown (Laura), West Hampton Beach, NY, and William M. Montgomery, Jr. (Sharon), Westminister, MD, 5 daughters, Anne Amelia Kimmell (Michael), Olympia, WA, Patricia Sue Brown, Guilford, CT, Donna E. Thom (Larry), Abita Springs, LA, Rebecca J. Montgomery (Tom Larson), Long Beach, MS, Lois M. Stubbs (Mark), Myersville, MD, 27 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Emmor G. Martin, Jr., Sherman, TX, and Ernest H. Martin, Van Alystyne, TX, 2 nieces, and 4 nephews.
Anne graduated from Fairfax High School, Fairfax, VA and then attended The Hockaday School in Dallas, TX. During her life as a military wife and mother, Anne lived with her family throughout the United States, and Europe. Her life's work was raising her large wonderful family.
The funeral service will be at Long Beach Presbyterian Church on Monday, July 30, 2012, at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 11:30am - 1:00pm. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
