Anne F. Latino

Anne Fasone Latino of Long Beach, MS, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 25, 2024, at Summerfield Senior Living in Gulfport, MS. Born on January 11, 1924 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Anne recently celebrated her 100-birthday surrounded by fun-loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Carmelo Fasone; her husband, John A. “Johnny” Latino; a brother, Chris J. Fasone; and various other family members.

She is survived by one son, Col. Thomas (Bonnie) Latino, USAF retired, of Atmore, AL; a cherished daughter, Phyllis (David) Latino McGee; one grandson, Anthony (Fran) McGee; two great-granddaughters, Faith and Hope McGee, all of McCool, MS; her sister, Catherine Fasone Lambert, of New Orleans, LA; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Scardina of Gulfport, MS, and Angie (Frank) Armato of Lacombe, LA; plus a host of other beloved relatives.

As the wife of a World War II veteran, Anne volunteered for many years with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Pass Christian, MS, A sociable person, she enjoyed helping decorate the Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Mardi Gras float in “the Pass”.

The family extends special thanks to Carol and “Skip” King of Pass Christian, Miriam and Barney Bieber, and "Aunt Liz" Scardina, all of Gulfport, for special care of their mother in her final years.

The family also wishes to thank the staffs of St. Joseph Hospice and Summerfield Senior Living of Gulfport for their love and care in her final days.

Rosary will take place at 9:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2024, and visitation from 9:30~10:30 AM at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at 11:00 AM and a reception will follow at the church after interment at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
