Anna Elisabeth Adams, age 91, of Gulfport, passed away on March 12, 2025 in Pass Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Enious E. "Gene" Adams; her parents, Bernard and Katharina Nardmann; and her brothers, Paul Bernard (Elfieda) and Heinz Joseph (Maria). Anneliese is survived by her sister, Ingrid Zentner (Manfred) her God Child Nicole; her niece Cheryl Ann Megivern (Joseph) and many other nieces and nephews.

Anneliese was born on August 27, 1933 in Ittenbach, Germany. She met her husband in 1956, while he served in the US Air Force. They were married in Germany in 1958 and were soon reassigned in 1959 to America and stationed in California. Alice became a citizen of the USA, in 1961 in San Francisco, California. When first married, Alice worked at the Base Exchange as a Branch Manager. Throughout their life they were stationed in many states, and Overseas Bases. After being stationed in Mississippi in 1974, Alice became a parishioner of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport, MS, where she was an original charter Adorer for the Adoration Chapel since 1992; an active Alter Society Member, Bereavement Cook, and a contributor to St. Vincent de Paul.

Alice also dedicated her life to her community. She was a life member of the Biloxi Member of the Moose Lodge, sponsor of the Humane Society, and volunteered for the VA and Nursing Homes, where she supplied many refreshments for over 750 hours of dedication. She and her husband, Gene, stayed active throughout their marriage with Dart Tournaments, bowling leagues, and golfing. She also had many hobbies; baking, gardening, and breeding and caring for Dachshunds. 

Alice wishes to express her deepest appreciation for her niece, Cheryl Ann and her husband Joseph Megivern for the many years of care and dedication throughout her later years.  The family wishes to thank all of who cared and visited Aunt Alice during her time at Pass Oaks Assisted Living. 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 10 - 11 am at St. James Catholic Church, 366 Cowan Road, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.

The Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach, is serving the family.
