Ann McAllister Anderson

January 28, 1943 — June 25, 2015

Ann McAllister Anderson died on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. She was born on January 28, 1943, the daughter of William Baldwin McAllister and Dorothy Kerr McAllister.
Ann moved from Canton with her family to the coast in 1955. She attended Gulfport Schools, MSCW, and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. Ann worked in the Gulfport School System and the Library System and was also associated with the Restaurant Association, the Gulf Coast Symphony, and the Gulf Coast Mental Health Association. She was at one time publisher of the Builder/Architect Magazine on the coast. Ann was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Gulfport and the Gulfport Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sister, Rebecca McAllister Barrett and husband, Dick, of Indianola; her nephew, Brister Baldwin Barrett of Memphis, TN; and a dear friend, Billy Cowling of Gulfport.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Monday, June 29, 2015, in the parish hall of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. The Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.
