Andrew Joseph Arceneaux, Jr., 72, passed July 9, 2014 in Bay St. Louis, MS. He served in the United States Navy between 1963 and 1969. He was a volunteer fireman at Bayside fire department and East Hancock fire department as the chief. Mr. Arceneaux loved to go fishing with his son, also loved racecar driving, football and old western movies. He was a very honest and straight forward man, a loving husband, father and grandfather, also a hero. He saved many lives.
His is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew J. Arceneaux Sr. and Lucille Arceneaux, daughter, Nellie Mae Arceneaux; 2 brothers, Robert Arceneaux, Gerald Arceneaux; 3 sisters, Jeanette McGuire, Inaz Arceneaux, Mae Rose Leish.
He is survived by his wife, Berendette Scott Arceneaux; son, Andrew Arceneaux (Tina); 2 daughters, Linda Arceneaux (Maria Mallard), Rosie Arceneaux; his sister, Judy Brown; his brothers, Raymond Arceneaux and Donald Arceneaux; 8 granchildren, Carrie Arceneaux and fianceÌ Jon Lepine, Andrew Arceneaux, Lilian Arceneaux, Brianna Arceneaux, Jonathan Alvaraengo, Alisha Millman, Christopher Arceneaux and fianceÌ Monique Wortman, Jennifer Locklin (Glen), Robert Lambert (Nola), 11 great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law, Kathy Arceneaux.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00am from Westlawn Memorial Cemetery, Grenta, LA,. Visitation will be Monday 6:00pm-8:00pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS. Online tributes can be made at www.riemannfamily.com.
